About Us
Founded in January 2019, The Survivor Project is a Nigeria-based NGO dedicated to addressing sexual violence, with a particular focus on Nigeria and Ghana. Our reach extends globally through social media advocacy, engaging a worldwide audience in the fight against sexual abuse.
Sexual violence is a pervasive issue that impacts countless lives, both directly and indirectly, and it demands attention from all of us. For too long, it was a taboo topic, with stigmas silencing victims and enabling abusers to go unpunished. The Survivor Project is committed to breaking the silence. We aim to spark open, honest conversations, tackle uncomfortable truths, and provide a platform where survivors and supporters can share their experiences and voices. We stand with all survivors and anyone affected by sexual abuse in its many forms. We invite you to join us - donate, engage in dialogue, and challenge the misconceptions that perpetuate this issue. Together, we can make a difference.
At The Survivor Project, our mission is to spark conversation and raise awareness about sexual abuse, driving change through informed dialogue.
We strive to be:

-
Communicative: Actively engaging with everyone who challenges or supports the cause.
-
Informative: Providing clarity on key issues, differentiating terms, and sharing global statistics and current events related to sexual violence.
-
Explorative: Presenting diverse perspectives, even those we may not agree with, to foster understanding.
-
Sensitive: Addressing issues with the care and respect needed to approach such important topics appropriately.
-
Creative: Finding new ways to share ideas and inspire others to contribute their own.
